Each month our team will pick five players (usually two guards, two forwards and one big) that we think had a month of great performances and that they deserve a spot in our All-Month Team.

The focus won’t be just on the “mainstream/top tier/NBA talent” prospects but we will go deeper and highlight other players as well. We will also try to not repeat the same players every month and we will look for different players that had a breakout month or a really dominant performance.

We are aware that our teams won’t always be perfect and that sometimes a player that had a dominant month will be left out, either because we couldn’t watch his matches or we just weren’t aware of his performances, but we will try our best to not miss on those prospects too many times.

Sidy Cissoko (G | 198 cm | ’04) ~ G-League Ignite

There weren’t many matches in the first half of February in G League due to the NBA All-Star weekend but in the last week of February Sidy Cissoko run his own show. Sidy also participated at the All-Star weekend and played for Team Jason in the Jordan Rising Starts match but did not manage to score any points. After that weekend he erupted in G League and scored 23 and 24 points against Memphis Hustle and later 22 and 22 points against Iowa Wolves. Sidy also collected a fair amount of rebounds, assists and steals in that period and definitely improved his draft stock. He looked confident in his shot, even though there were some bad misses too, he was aggressive in transition and in pick & rolls, showed his athleticism with highlight dunks.. a lot to like in his last performances in February.

Gregor Glas (SG | 197 cm | ’01) ~ Mornar Bar

If we translate the word “glas” from Slovenian to English language, the translation would be “voice.” And Gregor raised his “voice” in February. He had great performances in the second half of January already, immediately after he started playing on loan for Mornar Bar, and continued with them in February. In ABA league he scored 12 and 26 points and was the MVP of the 19th round, then in Montenegrin cup he had 11 and 16 points against SC Derby and Budućnost, two ABA League teams, and finished the month with 18 and 26 points for Slovenian national team against Estonia and Israel. His confidence was contagious and every time he touched the ball, he was dangerous to score some points. Gregor is a lethal scorer that can score out of any situation and create advantages with or without the ball and when he is confident and in rhythm, it is almost impossible to stop him.

Tidjane Salaun (F | 205 cm | ’05) ~ Cholet Basket

Tidjane had a great tournament in Patras. He averaged 20.5 points, 8 rebounds and 2.3 steals there and was one of the best players there while he also opened some eyes at Basketball Without Borders cup. He has the skillset that a modern forward needs to have and impacts the game in many ways. Capable scorer that can have good scoring numbers night after night, brings the energy to the floor in defense, rebounds, hustles.. He could be a player to watch for the 2024 or 2025 NBA draft.

Tristan Enaruna (F | 203 cm | ’01) ~ Cleveland State

Tristan Enaruna was on the edge of making it into our team in January already and he continued with great performances in February too. His last game when he scored in single digits was in December and he has almost 20 games in a row when he scored in double digits! He has advanced inside game with wide repertoire of finishes – loves to attack face up but can also post up the players. His three point shooting still has room for improvements and this is an area he will need to improve in the future. Brings the energy to the team and hustled for rebounds. He is the main player for Cleveland State in this season.

Johann Grünloh (C | 210 cm | ’05) ~ Rasta Vechta

Johann Grünloh set a new record with most blocks at one ANGT tournament and that alone could be enough for a spot in our team. He played great the whole tournament though and it weren’t just the blocked shots that raised the eyebrows and opened the mouths. Johann finished the ANGT Patras tournament with the averages of 16.8 points, 13.0 rebonds and 6.3 blocks per game while he also played a few good matches for Rasta Vechta in German ProA (2nd League) and for the 2nd team Vechta II in ProB (3rd League). He showed good inside game – soft touch at the rim and decent post up technique – and was a pretty dominant player in the paint on both ends. There were also good pick & roll actions and he showed upside in those plays too. In all matches he was dominant in the rebounding statistic too and usually had a double digit rebounds number. He is more a prototype of an “old school big” with inside oriented game but there is still value in those kind of players – if they are good enough of course.
