PREDRAFT MEASUREMENTS

Recap: Polish U16
Benjamin Didier Urbaniak (Trefl Sopot)- Guard/wing with perfect silhouette and good measurements. His shooting is becoming a serious threat but he also plays with the ball and can even produce a bit as a pick and roll ball handler. Needs to find a way to utilize his athletic potential in a better way but he is likely to be export product of Polish basketball.

STRENGHTS WEAKNESSESS
  • has a great genetics and athletic predispositions
  • perfectly v-shaped body type
  • possess decent court vision. Can execute some creative passes at good timing and angles. Potentially acceptable pick and role player
  • will most likely become good shooter in time but is not that automatic yet. Has his spot in the baseline corner
  • bothers passing lanes. Checks opponents either on two and three positions
  • even-keeled. Coaches praise his mentality
  • handles are very basic at the moment. Not the best at protecting the ball
  • not that much active cutter
  • seems not to play up to his full athletic potential. Could invest more energy in his slashing game and try more powerful finishing style
  • stagnant. Seems like he hit the wall with his development
OUTLOOK
Didier comes from Warsaw and moved to Trefl Sopot during summer of 2016. He has body like the best swimmers and could probably excel in many sports. He has enough potential to join foreign teams but seems like he missed right moment to do that. Still Urbaniak may be the most intriguing long-term prospect in 2001 Polish generation which unfortunately is very disappointing. Once he finds a way to utilize his athleticism and to polish all around game can become important domestic player. Has Canadian roots.
