STRENGHTS WEAKNESSESS
  • great basketball IQ. Smart player
  • perfect height and size for a PG. Smooth movement
  • true Point Guard. Has the necessary court vision to see open players a second before they get open. Knows how to make a pass through crowd
  • good ball handling abilities. Reliable option to bring the ball up court and set up an offense. Can go by a defender using dribbles, uses step back effectively
  • floor general. Leader on the court, handles himself like a player coach. High level of confidence
  • good shooter, consistent mechanics, used to shooting 3p from dribble. Shot 39% for 3p in SRB U19 League
  • physical limitations. Average athlete at best, even though he improved a bit. Lacks quickness, first step burst and explosiveness. Not a vertical guy
  • outplays his hand at times. Goes for the pass that really isn’t there while trying to make a play
  • rarely attacks the big on a switch with a drive. On such occasions he dribbles in one spot too often just to shoot a 3p
  • finishing around the rim. Some of those situations are a direct result of physical limitations, but there is still room for technical improvement in that area
OUTLOOK
Vuk Vulikić is a rare find in modern basketball. I believe that is the reason why he was such a huge factor in SRB U18 gold last summer. While he did that silently and in background, he was the main guy in Dynamic this season. True PG, very resourceful, confident and able to organize a team. Best thing about him is that he can shoot, so that limits defensive options for an opponent. If you give him room, he will shoot and most likely knock a 3 down. He was always around national team, in and out of 12, but he is really finding his ground. Being in PG friendly environement around Dynamic BG Head coach Muta Nikolić certainly helped. He has his weaknesses which could show more at the next level but he is in a great situation in a team which believes in him and that makes him look even better than he probably is. Never count out smart guys who know how to play.
