Jakub Szumert (2005, 6’7, SF/PF) – A rising star of Polish basketball that everyone knows. Great two-way player. Has great blocking skills and reads the game well, his long hands also help him on defensive side. He can also play on the ball and is great at coast to coast actions. Great touch around the rim and always attack very aggressively. Can shoot, but it’s not his strongest weapon. Szumert visibly improves his physicality from year to year.
Śląsk Wrocław
Szymon Nowicki (2005, 6’6, PF/C) – Former Real Madrid player. One of the most talented players of the young generation. Great teammate. Great inside and perimeter defender. Has a nice feeling for rebounds and playing close to the basket. He is good 1vs1 player. He has a great vision. He is not afraid to take the ball at a key moment. Can be dangerous with his shot, but it lacks consistency, and he needs to work hard on it. He also needs to get stronger physically.
Enea Basket Poznań
Iwo Baganc (2006, 6’6, SF/PF) – Big two-way talent. Player who plays very physically. He attacks close outs very well and he often goes for a dunk. Great off ball movement. Nice catch and shooter but due to his shooting form he isn’t best at shooting of the dribble. Solid defender, but he can’t defend players smaller than him. He needs to improve his shot selection.
Jan Nowicki (2005, 6’4, SF)- Leader of a team that has nerves of steel. His strongest point are his drives to the basket, where he is very creative. Good at coast to coast action. Can create space for a shot through contact. Solid shooter. Sometimes he plays selfishly and makes strange shooting decisions.
GAK Gdynia
Tymoteusz Sternicki (2006, 6’7, SF/PF) – The biggest Polish prospect. Great two-way talent. Extremely mobile and athletic for his height. Can make great use of his physical advantage in a 1vs1 game. On offensive side, he is a complete player who can score points from any position. He often avoids contact, but when he does create it, he uses it as an advantage. Really good at creating own shoots. Sternicki got nice passing skills. Long arms help him block opponents. Can defend any position from 1-5 thanks to his mobility. Tends to overdribble which causes turnovers.
Kacper Ponitka (2006, 6’3, SG/PG) – Player who always play at his own pace. Very strong guard, which makes it easier for him to score around the basket. Has a nice vision and doesn’t make risky decision. He has some problems on defensive side when playing against smaller and faster players because of his body limitation. Offensive potential, but he still needs to work on distance shots and free throws.
GTK Gliwice
Filip Poradzki (2006, 6’0, PG/SG) – MVP of the tournament. True team leader. Pass-first point guard with nice ball handling skills. Great vision and always looking for a better positioned teammate. Smart and creative player who is not in a hurry. He can play great with tall players and uses the screens well. Good on ball defender and constantly puts pressure on the opponent. Filip is okey shooter but has some problems with shooting of the dribble.
Miłosz Majewski (2007, 6’5, SF) – One of the best scorers of the tournament even though he is two years younger. Great offensive potential. Very athletic, strong and mobile. Has a quick and long first step. Main weapon of Milosz’s game are aggressive drives to the basket and forcing fouls at a high level. He is nice in catch and shoot actions. Very good defender who is very aggressive. Can’t attack to the left.
