STRENGHTS WEAKNESSESS
  • solid athlete with robust build and great upper body strength. Long arms, can get above the rim
  • plays with a lot of energy. Stays in attack mode
  • can use his body to create a space for the shot. Stands the contact well
  • good IQ. Successful in using his advantages – can back down players his size. Also penetrates really hard against slower PFs
  • makes plays in transition. Can grab and go as he is good rebounder on both ends
  • qualified slasher but operates only in straight lines
  • quick-handed and willing defender with decent lateral footwork and strength to recover
  • has all the tools to be a good non dunk finisher but still figures out how to add this ability to his repertoire
  • three point shooting inconsistency. Keeps improving percentage and technique but is not there yet. Doesn’t shoot off the bounce
  • plays both forward positions in small ball offense but can he translate it to the ACB? Needs to keep developing SF skillset which is more suitable role for him at pro level
  • above average passer but drives into the wall at times
OUTLOOK
Barcelona native recently signed a professional deal with the club. Sergi is intriguing prospect thanks to his good productivity, mentality and overall feel for the game. His playing style is sort of Alessandro Gentile but is a bit less skilled with the ball. He needs to polish shooting skills to prove himself as a small forward on the level.
