A very good tournament for Jordri Rodriguez. He stepped up when needed and showed the “cojones” in the most important moments. He was not scared to be in the spotlights and take the matters in his hands but sometimes that led to a bad shot and his shot selection in the final match could be better. Although that is his game and that unpredictability makes him so dangerous and interesting. He was showing great shooting throguth the tournament and was 18 out of 46 (39.1 %) behind the three point line. Some of the shots were not easy and were from deep range too and I give him props for that. He moved great without the ball and made some nice cuts too but he was not really efficient at the rim or at the free throw line and that needs to improve. Used his length well in defense too and played an important role as team defender. Might be a player to watch next season if he will have similar performances as here in Debrecen.

Jordi had a decent tournament even though his shooting percentages were bad for his standards. He moved fluidly around screens and had a few shots with quick release when coming off screen. Great at attacking off the catch too and when the defense gravitated towards him he dished an assist to the big man. Has a wide arsenal of scoring tools but doesn’t force shots, loves to pass the ball forward too. Has good hips and lateral movements on the defensive end but his hands could be more active and he should get more deflections and steals with his length.

Jordi was one of the most fun players to watch at the tournament. He is not a player that will impress you with highlight dunks but his playing style is full of flair, confidence and attractive plays. He let the balls fly from deep range and made a few tough step backs and shots over the defenders – Rudy Fernandez/Sergio Llull style. He was probably the best shooter at the tournament and his shooting is definitely his main calling card so far but he can offer much more than just shooting. He made quite a few advanced passes out of pick & rolls where he found the rolling big man. Also very fluid in transition where he can do a lot of damage as a scorer or passer. Has room for growth as a driver and finisher at the rim and he should try to bring the ball closer more often and not just attempt shots from distance. However his talent is obvious and if he makes a few improvements in the driving part of his game, he could become a player for the highest level in Europe.
