STRENGHTS WEAKNESSESS
  • pretty good athletically. Good frame. Great size for a PG, strong body. Quick
  • mature player. Handles himself well on the court. Floor general, leader of his team, no matter if he plays for club or national team
  • good ball handling, shifty with the ball in his hands, dangerous when driving to the basket
  • knows to make acrobatic plays, especially layups against rim protectors. Can withstand contact
  • legit 3p threat. He isn’t a pure shooter, but he is capable of scoring multiple 3s if neglected. Has no issues with range as well
  • good passer
  • very good rebounder for his position. Knows how to use his body to get to the ball first
  • can torch an opponent on a given day. Has the ability to score in bunches when he gets going. Hard to stop when he has that momentum
  • solid defender with physical potential for even more
  • early physical peak. Body almost hasn’t changed in 2 years
  • used to being dominant in his age group. Question of playing style when he loses that edge at next level
  • as much as he can torch an opponent with 30 points, he can go missing from time to time
  • gets ahead of himself. His athleticism takes the thinking and he tries to make plays that aren’t there. It’s too late when he realizes it
  • turnovers. Had 4 turnovers per game in U19 League, which is the highest average in the competition
OUTLOOK
Igor Drobnjak is a strong, physical PG who can be a leader of the team, can organize offense and give the coach jumpstart in transition. He is a quick and shifty player who can score inside and go past defenders. Needs to learn to stop from time to time and make better decisions with the ball. Turnovers average is just unacceptable at this stage. It may go down in pros just from the fact he would be less careless against superior competition. It’s hard to expect his domination will continue at pro level, but he is as good pick as any player to become a good pro as he has too many tools not to make it. Which level will it be exactly, depends on the fit and adjustments he has to make for pro ball.
