DIDAC CUEVAS – Small guard from Joventut Badalona with the biggest heart on the floor. Unmatched quickness and passion are two things that help midgets to survive in tall basketball world. If he could borrow his mentality to some more physically gifted players we could probably create many surefire NBA prospects. Cuevas plays defense like a pitbull and is lighting fast which combined with his low gravity causes havoc for taller guards trying to keep him in front. Of course he is extremely limited as a finisher but can drive & kick and gets great elevation on his jumpshot which prevents many blocks attempts. Lately because of Arturs Zagars injury he was called up to CB Prat in Leb Gold. His first games are definitely not successful but he is adjusted to proving competition wrong which allow to stay positive and hope that he can figure things out next weeks. Possibly low key Facundo Campazzo type of player given warrior mentality and speed. But more of low end ACB backup in future if I had to guess today.

STRENGHTS	WEAKNESSESS
compensates every lack with huge heart and competetiveness great stamina and relentless motor. Can outrun the competition. May have day off shooting wise but very consistent with his overall effort appears to have a great vocal leadership qualities. Excels as a good motivator for his teammates extremely pesky defender. Displays tremendous intensity on defensive end. Type of player everyone hates to play against. Also very good fundamentals and anticipation very speedy. Can really push the tempo of team’s offense and blow against slow footed defenders fundamentally sound shooting technique. High arching, gets good elevation – rarely gets blocked which is very notable regarding his height	just 5’9. Heart over size but how much can he do on the next level with such a limited size? able to put good offensive numbers on youth level but have natural limitation in terms of finishing around the rim. Very outside heavy scorer doesn’t have an imposing frame good not great ball handler and playmaker. Often used as a combo. Very unlikely to continue doing this at solid pro level
OUTLOOK
Didac Cuevas is a Point Guard with plenty of intangibles. He seems to be a great teammate and example to follow which is uncommon for that young players. He displays rare poise and passion which makes him easy to root for and allow to survive although his physical limitations. No matter which level he ends up playing at he will be very respected and fun to watch.
