Danko Branković (’00) got the opportunity to play in the last 15 minutes when the game was already decided and used the opportunity well. He finished the game with 4 points, 4 rebounds, 3 blocks and 3 steals in 15 minutes. In offense he had a minor role mostly setting screens and playing as pick & roll roller. With his size and length he made some impact in defense with rim protection where he was contesting/blocking most of the shots. Not that quick in his legs and had some issues in defending pick & rolls but overall made a good job on the defensive end.

STRENGHTS WEAKNESSESS
  • tremendous height – may be even 7’1 in shoes
  • really mobile and agile
  • good not great shooting form but has confidence in his mid range jumper. Makes them quite regularly
  • has potential as a rim protector. Really good shot blocking numbers in every youth setting
  • above average passer for center position
  • has notable perimeter game
  • can cut
  • soft hands
  • somewhat narrow shoulders. Not built to fight inside. Avoids playing in the paint
  • still very lanky. Can get outhustled without big effort by other players on his position
  • gets pushed out of his way
  • how good of a screener and pick and roll man is he?
OUTLOOK
Danko Brankovic is intriguing big man out of Cibona Zagreb youth system. He is really mobile which combined with his touch and size is interesting combination. However he lacks physicality badly and it is not certain how much room for improvement he has despite being born late in 2000. Playing more as a lob target could definitely help his chances.
