STRENGHTS WEAKNESSESS
  • has a great physical gift, with nice length and wingspan
  • impressive soft hands combined with composure. Finishes with high percentages around the rim
  • shot is promising, has a hitch in his release but that will eventually be solved through his physical development
  • very good ball-handling ability, can attack the close-out or bring the ball down the court
  • team player rather than a leader but can score on his own down the post
  • needs time to polish his all around skill set but sky is the limit
  • has problems with athleticism and coordination.
  • has lots of ups and downs in games, has to concentrate better
  • lack of defensive focus on defending the rim
  • posibility of being stuck between two forward position may delay his development
OUTLOOK
Rudan can play either with his face or back to the basket with equal success. He is the continuation of the Croatian pattern of next generation forwards. Even though his young age, Matej already competed at Adidas NGT and impressed with his amazing potential also at FIBA U16 European Championship. Still has a long way to go but might become the next Croatian NBA player.
