Height: 208cm – 6’10’’
Born: 15.02.1999
Nationality: Slovakia
Position: Center
Current team: JSU

RANK:Of 1999 Generation

STRENGHTS WEAKNESSESS
  • somewhat narrow but strong frame. 7’0 wingspan
  • good rebounding instincts and positioning. Great on attacking glass. Starts offense quickly after grabbing the ball
  • really solid one on one low post defender
  • improved as a mid range shooter. Shows promise of adding this kind of play to his repertoire
  • plays hard and without the respect. Competes and fights for position in the paint. Sets very hard screens
  • has only basic low post moves but can use his body and has decent footwork

  • not the best hands you can see. A bit stiff touch
  • slow on his feet and not the best lateral and coordination in general. Can’t pick up quick and smaller players on the switches. Doesn’t recover quickly in P & R situations
  • a bit on the heavy side. Below average vertical leap
OUTLOOK
Native of Kosice, Slovakia. Zeliznak is a center who is not really skilled but displays solid fundamental base. Some of his athletic limitations are fairly worrying but he can rebound on a good rate. He already has a substantial strength and can become notable low post stopper. His effort and hard-work can make him really intriguing role player after college career.
