STRENGHTS WEAKNESSESS
  • solid size combined with very good length (+6’7 wingspan) and strong & mature frame
  • tremendous level of explosiveness. Can get up and finish with the dunk easily
  • very shifty. Impossible to keep in front in his age group for now. Makes really powerful drives to the rim. Good body control
  • tight and quick handles. Length allows him to keep the ball low to the ground
  • able to impact the game as a rebounder from guard spot
  • very good shot creator. Gets separated from defenders at will. May be his another big asset if he polishes the jumper
  • at least adequate court vision for PG. Throws strong and accurate passes
  • creates tons of space for others thanks to his ability to penetrate. Kicks the ball out to open teammates
  • sees all the solutions in pick and roll. Can pass over the defenses
  • may need to improve his weaker right hand. As a finisher and ball handler
  • needs to keep working on his distance shoot. Low release point
  • not very vocal
  • solid defensive tools but motor comes and goes
OUTLOOK
Killian is the son of Deron Hayes, American former pro who played about 10 years in France mostly in Cholet and Limoges. He is arguably the best prospect in his generation. For now he doesn’t look as superior as for example Luka Doncic or Sekou Doumbouya in previous generations. However he had a better showing than Frank Ntilikina 3 years ago at U16s who eventually ended up as a 8th pick of NBA Draft. With Killian’s talent and attitude really only sky seems to be the limit and he is definitely future NBA guard.
