STRENGHTS WEAKNESSESS
  • perfect size for modern stretch four that comes along with nice frame
  • born in the late December of 1999. Has a lot of room for improvement to bulk up his body and polish already good skillset
  • good overall athleticism. Light feet and long strides. Runs the floor quickly and dunks easily
  • possess phenomenal instincts on attacking glass. Almost like a put back machine
  • energetic player. Constantly in motion and difficult to guard
  • competitive attitude
  • can really cut to the rim with perfect timing
  • can step out for occassional three pointer. Should be able to make it his bigger and bigger asset next seasons
  • well coordinated and quick laterally for his height. Has some rim protection ability
  • very left handed heavy as a finisher
  • still inconsistent with his stroke. Also below average FT shooter
  • not next play type of mentality for now. Loses composure a bit after bad plays
  • improving dribbling and penetration skills to be bigger threat in face up game might be crucial to establish himself as an legitimate NBA prospect
OUTLOOK
Macura comes from basketball background as pretty much everyone in his family used to play this sport. His younger brother also resides with him in Baskonia, Spain. This program does amazing things with player development and since Jurij arrived there in 2015 he made fantastic progress. It won’t be surprise at all if we see him playing for Baskonia in Euroleague in few years.
