John Joseph Saigge

Height: 180cm – 5’11’’
Born: 09.03.2001
Nationality: Germany
Position: Guard
Current team: IBAM

RANK:Of 2001 Generation

STRENGHTS WEAKNESSESS
  • tremendous athleticism – highest level of speed, agility and acceleration
  • high motor player
  • very muscular – pretty much build like a tank
  • fantastic wingspan – about +15cm more than body height
  • defensive potential – can be a nightmare for unathletic players, able to press way beyond 3pt line. Hard to move with his proper stance and strength. Also good lateral movement and anticipation.
  • great conditioning and desire to impact the game on defensive end – good weakside shot blocker
  • mentally involved – encourages teammates. Gets really pumped up after good plays
  • his penetrations are very hard to stop. Fearless, body is unaffected by contact

  • commits a lot of fouls – effort is amazing but doesn’t know where is the limit at times
  • can’t control the pace of the game as a PG, goes all in, unproductive when things don’t go right in uptempo
  • handles are quick and good but tends to plan possesions a bit. He can get to the rim at ease now but what about next level if it is still clear that he is going to penetrate?
  • average shooter. Promising footwork to make a step back or come off screen but there is plenty of work to make it his asset
OUTLOOK
Saigge is a physical specimen who utilizes his abilities perfectly on the defensive end. However with his height he is doomed to play as a Point Guard so his IQ, court vision and maturity in half court offense are must improve moving forward in order not to become one sided player.
