STRENGHTS WEAKNESSESS
  • has fantastic length for a forward
  • aggressive rim attacker, scores most of his points by slashing inside. Has finishing flair
  • has plenty of offensive tools, can pull up, play the isolation, drive all the way to the rack and pass the ball. Impressive footwork helps him to separate himself from the defender
  • loves playing with the ball in his hands, handles the ball very well and low to the ground
  • shows nice offensive instincts, unselfish, confident and aggressive
  • has a good stroke and he is deadly when left open from the three point line
  • displays longish strides. Very flexible and crafty
  • considerable potential on D but shows low intensity on defense at times. More of an offensive-minded player
  • needs to improve his off-ball game. Wants to handle it most of the time
  • inconsistent performer
  • still somewhat thin. Needs to put up weight in order to be more competitive
  • seems unstable emotionally on the court. Can act annoyingly
OUTLOOK
The next big thing from Estonia, Drell showed off his scoring ability in U16 European Championship that held in Radom, Poland last summer. He transferred to Brose Baskets Bamberg after the tournament and is now playing in a more competitive environment which will eventually help in growth as a basketball player. He is likely to get some draft looks and be a leader of his national team in the following years.
