| Hector Alderete is one of the most polished players in his age group. He‘s an early bloomer who stands at 6-8 and is build like a tank. Alderete plays for Estudiantes (has two years older brother -Diego – in the same team) and can play multiple positions on the court. He can handle the ball a little bit, finishes pretty well through contact and shoots the ball with confidence. The 16-year-old has a quick trigger and shoots a natural shot. While his floor is very high, there are concerns how his game will translate to higher levels (especially on the defensive end). He lacks great foot speed, gets beat by quicker guards off the dribble regularly and his future position is somewhat unclear. However, there‘s a lot to like about him and it‘s probable that Alderete will be one of the most dominant figures in youth competitions to come. |
