STRENGHTS WEAKNESSESS
  • height for position. Made a significant grow last time. Projected to be even bigger
  • wasn’t overwhelmed playing against two year older and one of the best competition in Europe. Seems to trust his skills
  • long limbs
  • great natural shooter. Likely to become specialized player in this department
  • good defensive fundamentals – understands positioning, has promising lateral footwork
  • keeps good spacing off the ball. Tries to make an impact off the ball by cutting and attacking the glass
  • frame is very suggestive. Looks more and more toned
  • high IQ. Has very good habits, able to play well within smaller role than usually has
  • very short torso comparing to arms and legs length. Lacks strength in upper body
  • may not be very explosive even after he reaches his full athletic potential
  • not super polished ball handler. Needs to develop better handles than just basic moves to excel more as a guard
OUTLOOK
Franz is a Berlin native and brother of Moritz who plays for the Michigan and stands at 6 feet 10 inches. His skillset is more guard oriented. He displays very professional approach and seems to really care about making it big in the game of basketball. As for now none of his skills is likely to reach elite level but It is possible for young Wagner to establish himself as a NBA prospects in very short time thanks to his drive, size, experience and versitality.
