Dzmitry Ryuny

Height: 203cm – 6’8’’
Born: 12.01.2000
Nationality: Belarus
Position: Forward
Current team: San Diego

RANK:Of 2000 Generation

STRENGHTS WEAKNESSESS
  • runs the floor really well. Well coordinated, long strides and solid quickness
  • good size for a forward who can play with the ball standing around 6’8. Quite long arms by eye test
  • at his best in transition. Very opportunistic. Can go coast to coast thanks to good handles and finish after nice euro step move
  • nice face up game. Able to attack not only close outs and get to the rim
  • willing passer. Can ocassionally surprise and dish the ball with style
  • good touch overall. Can shoot nice high arching jumpers with range. Also finishes with floaters
  • very enthusiastic
  • good rebounder
  • very uncomfortable using his left hand
  • needs to work a lot on his physicality. Underdeveloped frame
  • can improve his decision making especially passing wise
  • not overly consistent with his three pointer yet. Jumps a little bit forward
  • can get into the passing lanes but slightly disappointing on the defensive end regarding good tools. Needs to get more tough
  • unable to use his height in the post
OUTLOOK
Ryuny is very intriguing SF who can also function as a small ball 4. He is very mobile and plays with the ball almost like a guard. Still has a lot of room for overall polish and physical progress. Thinking long term he can end up right behind the best wings from his generation. Moved out to USA for final year of High School.
