Aristotelis Sotiriou (01’, 6’8’’, Forward) Forward that knows how to use his strength inside, very active, drives aggressively or slashes to the rim, not afraid of physical contact. In the one game that he played he managed to get himself to the foul line regularly getting very good – 9/11. Didn’t play much due to minor injury suffered in the first game of the tournament but manged to get an impressive 29pts, 7reb, 0ast, 2stl, 5TO’s stat line.

STRENGHTS WEAKNESSESS
  • ok length for position. Solid size standing around 6’8
  • good athlete for European standards. Quite fluid, offensive minded. Runs to transition every time
  • has really nice instincts to chase offensive rebounds. Unafraid to do this in traffic
  • brings very energetic approach to the court
  • hard working defender. Covers a lot of ground on the floor
  • quicker than most of the 4 position players. Can drive to the rim from perimeter
  • not good enough shooter for 3 position at this stage of career. Mechanics is not quick and gets a bit stiff
  • still figuring out things offensively. Not the most naturally skilled at the moment
  • has tools to be very good slasher but cannot utilize them because of lack of high level feel for the game
OUTLOOK
Sotiriou is definitely one of the best talents from his generation in Greece. He has nice tools to excels on both ends of the floor but is limited offensively to transition, put backs and straight line driving. Needs to polish his shot and improve understanding of the game to find his way to become rotation member of best Greek senior teams.
