Mihailo Mušikić (C | 211 cm | ‘02) ~ Mega Bemax

Mušikić had a great tournament, should be in consideration for the All-Tournament team. Averaged 17.3 points, 4.0 rebounds and 4.0 assists per game. His biggest advantage in comparison to other big men is his court vision and passing. Has great passing touch, delivers precise passes from the top or from post up situations to all directions and spots. As a scorer he expanded his range, looked confident shooting from distance, even from the three point line. Shooting motion is not the most fluid or quick and needs some space for shot but shots from distance give him a new dimension in his game. Not the best inside player, lacks strength and has a hard time against stronger opponents but he is a great playmaker from low post. A pretty bad athlete, also lacks energy and toughness and this translates to bad rebounding numbers for a player his size. Defensively he struggles against quicker and stronger players and could have a hard time adapting to higher level if he doesn’t become stronger. With good mobility, footwork and length he can contest shots around the rim and on closeouts. If he improves his defensive game and especially his body, he could be a good long term prospects because playmaking big men with outside game are kinda the prototype of a modern NBA big men.

Adidas All-Star International game recap
MIHAILO MUSIKIC (BIG, SERBIA) – Mega Bemax talent could probably be a member of U18 roster and benefit more from this experience considering that pink AdidasNGT team was really average and didn’t have any chance to achieve good result. Slow but gifted wth size and skill. Can put the ball on the floor, shooting seems developable. Can very well end up in Euroleague one day.

Evaluation 2002-2003

U16 OVERVIEW
Mihailo Musikic is a highly coveted prospect who headlines Serbian 2002 generation. He grew up in small city where he played for the team Sloga Kraljevo and joined Mega Bemax after 2016/2017 season. During that summer took also part in Adidas Eurocamp and presented obvious potential intriguing not only for Serbian executives. Despite average explosiveness, coordination or body & athleticism in general, Musikic can definitely be categorized as modern big. Not only he has the court stretching upside (even though he possess strange tendency to fade away even on FT attempts) but handles are much above average considering the height and he can also put the ball on the floor. Mihailo possess great touch around the rim and instincts for a big man. He is very competitive and naturally talented which is always exciting mix. Improvement on defensive end and further physical development will be important to reach full upside but it’s safe to say Musikic is Euroleague prospect.

Recap: Szent Istvan Basketball Cup
MIHAILO MUSIKIC (SERBIA, MEgA LEKS, 2002, 210CM) – Standing at 6’11, Mihailo is kind of do it all Center. His overall skillset, tools and aggressiveness are truly amazing combination. He actually likes to get physical and is very consistent with his competitiveness. Has soft hands and is willing scorer. Can score either with his back and face to the basket where he can attack with solid change of directions and body control. Post defense and passing are at least acceptable for standards of his position. Handles and stretching distance he provides are another added value to his assets. On the other hand he has a bad tendency to fade away while taking the shot even in standstill situations from the FT line. Coordination and explosiveness are still subjects to improve. Moreover he could get more mature emotionally to fully control his behaviour. Anyway he is easy to categorize as potential Euroleague prospect at this point.
