KACPER KLACZEK (POLAND, 6’7, SWINGMAN, STELLAZZURRA)

Klaczek is a talented wing prospect. Displays great size and is very fluid athlete who can ocassionaly throw it down with authority. He can handle the ball and is an open court threat. Also drives to the rim in half court with long strides, body control and more patience than likewise athletes. Moreover helps a ton with securing rebounds and posses adequate court vision to kick it out to the well positioned teammate. Very active on the court seems to have quick adaptability thanks to natural flair and outgoing personality. Still gets streaky but it’s normal at this age and shouldn’t really be considered as red flag. There is some utilizable defensive potential in him and to sum up he possess all the ingredients to end up on really high European level. Will spend next 5 years in Rome suiting up for Stellazzurra.

OVERVIEW
Kacper comes from the city of Chorzow. He was the best player and winner of Polish U14 Championship in 2016 with Zak Zory. He is a versitale, really athletic prospect who can play both forward position. He moves really well for his size (around 2 meters) can handle the ball and drive to the rim with long strides. Has also nice feel for cutting to the rim and considerable shooting potential. Posses good instincts which allow to hope he will be very good rebounder also on senior level and is very active on the court in general. Currently he plays in Polish 2nd Division on the same team (Mickiewicz Katowice) with his older brother Lukasz. He also occasionally practise with Polish Top League newcomer – GTK Gliwice. During the 2016/2017 season he had very successful try out in Ratiopharm Ulm. Some Spanish teams tried to recruit him as well but he decided to stay in Poland for now. Took part in FIBA U16 European Championship as underaged player.

Comments: 2002 generation may be the most talented in Poland since 1993. This is another highly interesting kid who can easily play in teams like Sevilla, Gran Canaria – you know those good not elite academies. Octagon wants to bring him to Saragossa. Was in Ratiopharm Ulm with other agent and they liked him a lot. He played here as friendly invitation. Coach of Italian academy saw him on EYBL last season and asked few weeks ago if he wants to join when they are in Poland. Now he plays with his older brother in 2nd division and practises regularly with Top league newcomer which even registered him for the league so he should be given some episodes later in the season. Kid is versitale can do pretty much everything. Good enough athlete, has size, can play 1 on 1 and go coast to coast. Shooting looks very promising. Can become high level also. Will probably leave Poland after this season.
