STRENGHTS WEAKNESSESS
  • solid size for power forward with above average length
  • fluid, but not overwhelmingly quick or explosive athlete
  • plays with a solid motor, crashing the offensive glass. Solid and quick leaper
  • has court stretching potential. Form may need just very small correction or better consistency. Shots from mid range too
  • good size allow him to shoot over defenders. Hits some occasional turn around jumpers or one legged shots
  • always in constant motion when he doesn’t have the ball
  • willing to play in the low post. Gets push around vs physical competition but has some touch in his right hand
  • not very strong. Doesn’t gain much space with his back to the basket
  • energy alone is no guarantee for success. Hasn’t developed the skills to be more than a roleplayer
  • quite long stride and not a raw handles but his face up game is still work in progress
  • not comfortable creating vs pressure
OUTLOOK
Kjell transfered to CBA Canarias from Rotterdam Basketball and now continues successful cooperation between this academy and Dutch players. De Graaf is not the most skilled big man around, but he does run hard and is willing to work. He has decent tools and seems to be very close potential wise to other more reknown bigs from 1999 generation. Needs to add strength but he is mid major college prospect.
