STRENGHTS WEAKNESSESS
  • good mobility and even acceptable quickness regarding his quite big body
  • fundamentally sound and decent-looking release
  • great court stretching potential. Excellent fit for pick and pop plays
  • can dish the ball out from the low post when double teamed
  • active in setting up his position around the paint. Has some basic moves that allow him to use strength against players with equal size
  • very good demeanor according to coaches. Focused on improving
  • not overwhelming tools and gets crossed at times by speedy players but really puts in work and does his best on defensive end
  • has some baby fat. Could get into better shape
  • tends to shoot off balance at times
  • not very useful around the basket. Either as a finisher and rim protector
  • has a good pump fake to put defender in the air and hit the pull up but doesn’t do much even straight line drives
  • average height for front court prospect standing at 6’8 in shoes
  • not bouncy, limited size and lack of great instincts. It all makes him just average rebounder
OUTLOOK
Calvin is a player with very good court stretching potential. He is very productive on average level but lacks tools to be considered as a prospect with a high upside. However Poulina makes steady progress so his work ethic and dedication can help him to get into NCAA Division I and then most likely become a pro in Europe.
