STRENGHTS WEAKNESSESS
  • strong upper and lower body. Good size at 6’6
  • can drive, shoot, handle and pass. Really improved as PnR ball handler. Plays basically 1-3 positions
  • hard to stop in transition with good speed and strength combination
  • fundamentally sound stroke. Has advanced pull up repertoire in isolations
  • capable of taking scoring burden on his shoulders
  • plays very hard. Does a lot of crucial little things. Dives for the balls. Never takes play off
  • makes good rebounding impact
  • good leadership quality. Vocal on the court
  • as mature physically as it gets in his age group. Ready but how much can he improve?
  • may get tunnel vision at times getting to the rim. Doesn’t have pace shifting ability
  • didn’t prove his shooting skills with 3pt FG numbers so far
  • can put head down in isolation and go into his predetermined move
  • doesn’t play equally hard on D
OUTLOOK
Jovan Kljajic emerged early as high level prospect. He was the MVP and best scorer of maybe the most prestigious U14 tournament in Europe – Slovenia Ball in 2015. He is always standout in Montenegro youth teams and led his country in heroic fashion to the final of U16s in 2017. Beside nice size, shooting skills and good playmaking his desire to win separates him from other prospects. Should be able to debut in Gran Canaria senior team in near future.
