Great Britain had very successfull summer in every age group. The man behind this in Tallinn was definitely Mccalla. At times he looked like mid major version of Kawhi Leonard. His neverending energy is just hard to believe in. His length, quickness and relentless attitude makes him a nightmare matchup. Upcoming season Mccalla will spend in JUCO but probably it’s just the matter of time until he committs to some high major school.

STRENGHTS WEAKNESSESS
  • broad shoulders and great wingspan. Very good height for swingman position
  • great athlete and leaper. Displays basically NBA physical tools
  • phenomenal motor. Possess neverending energy. Can kill opponents with his intensity
  • always first in transition. Very opportunistic for easy buckets. Starts
  • gets extremely low in the proper defensive stance. Good on ball defender
  • takes pride in making an impact on the defensive end. Chases for the blocks Cover plenty of ground with his length
  • very reliable shooter. Good looking form. Capable of hitting threes from open spots
  • plays with rare poise. Extremely focused. Doesn’t show much emotions, keeps composure
  • ball handling is a work in progress sometimes can’t keep up with handling the ball while running at full speed
  • very opportunistic and fearless in transition but sometimes tries to finish in way too difficult fashion
  • lacks isolation moves
  • lives and dies by his speed. Can’t control the tempo or change it
  • not overly experienced on good level. Playing against the most skilled players will be a new thing for him
OUTLOOK
Henry Mccalla was a standout at FIBA U18 European Championships. He looked somewhat like mid major version of Kawhi Leonard utilizing his physical tools in a tremendous way. He also shows very similar demeanor on court. After one year in Junior College he is very likely to establish himself as a clear cut high major prospect. Given opportunity and right circumstances to improve his skills and maximize potential he can even appear on the NBA radar.
