STRENGHTS WEAKNESSESS
  • adequate height for a center with decent 6’11 wingspan and very good bulk for Center position
  • proved as a great facilitator at weaker competitions. Has some translatable scoring instincts for better level
  • hits the glass and plays really hard in general. Has a nose for rebounding. Tips the ball for himself
  • willing to battle for position inside the paint. Can be really dominant with his strength advantage
  • possess ability to clear out space and get the shot off in traffic
  • quick in finding ball handlers after rebound. Doesn’t take part in transition but can ignite the fast break
  • can occasionally impress with good outside or outlet pass
  • not a quick player. Also a bit slow off the ground
  • makes effort to move his game more and more outside by adding three pointer. Developable in this regard but to no avail so far
  • just average finisher. Sometimes needs multiple putback
  • tough match up but gets slightly overaggressive at times. Uses elbows carelessly or pushes opponents too strong unnecessarily. Commits many fouls
  • not overly broad post up repertoire. Relies mostly on his body and positioning
  • not next play type of guy. Seems to get disappointed after unsuccessful attempts
  • limited foot speed. Leaves a lot of space on the perimeter
OUTLOOK
Cassar’s father played many years for Maltanese senior team. He was famous player over there but never made big club career. Kurt has a bigger talent and chance to make it and he is already a legend in small countries youth competitions where he put ridiculous stats. He has some work to do with athleticism and improving offensive repertoire. Should be able to end up playing for good Italian teams.
