VINCENT VALERIO BODON Saw him already two and a half years ago and was very intrigued. This was first FIBA tournament with NT for him and looks like he still got it which makes you think where could he be at the moment if was more focused on basketball and left Hungary…Lanky and long comboforward which resembles Louis Olinde from physical profile. Raw but intriguing potential. Stands at good 6’8, makes knock down jumpers, slashes with his long strides, can pass a bit and bring the ball up. Maybe it’s not too late to become a good pro for him, could benefit from a good situation in college ball.

STRENGHTS WEAKNESSESS
  • perfectly v-shaped body. Slender but with toned muscles. Solid wingspan
  • great cutter – really filling the open spots on the court around the paint. Tries it every possession
  • patient passer – used for out of bounds situations thanks to his awareness and reach
  • above average IQ – plays for the team, understands what he should and shouldn’t try at this point
  • gets in the passing lanes, very active hands on defensive end
  • ability to use screens off the ball
  • not able to play with the ball much – can only make straight line drive against close out. Finishes dribble too quickly – almost all his pick and rolls are 1-2 dribble pull ups or he just stops with the ball far away on the perimeter
  • commits a lot of fouls – effort and defensive stance are good but makes unnecessary contact to recover if unable to stay in front
  • ball handling – below average feel, too focused on the ball and it affects his court vision
  • legs are a bit tiny – needs to build power and explosiveness because he does have athletic potential
OUTLOOK
Vincent is half Dominicanian. He is still raw offensively but plays smart and seems to be developable in every aspect of the game. He is very lanky and can appear to be late bloomer who might make big progress moving forward. Potentially good slasher who can check multiple positions.
