STRENGHTS WEAKNESSESS
  • ability to play both guard positions
  • improved a lot as the primary ball handler of the team
  • improved jumpshot, especially from 3p range
  • has the ability to pull up from the drible for a jumpshot and majority of his shots come from PnR dribbles of the pick or ISOs
  • crafty with the ball, solid court vision and ball handling
  • primarily a scorer, but he can get others involved. Not a selfish player
  • leadership qualities, not afraid to take things into his own hands and decide tha game in clutch situations
  • can drive to the basket and draw fouls.
  • soft touch on floaters
  • fluid movement
  • good example of a baller, player who understands and knows how to play the game and as the result his contribution is bigger than the simple sum of his skills
  • locked in between positions, neither a true point guard nor a shooting guard
  • average body for next level. Average frame
  • even though his movement is fluid indeed, lacks elite quickness
  • struggles against good aggressive defenders, especially against teams that press and know him well
  • average defender at best. Lateral movement far from elite
  • struggles to stay in front of quick good ball handlers
  • does not jump high enough on jumpshots, release is lower than it should be for next level. It can be an issue against better competition
OUTLOOK
Tadić is one of those guys you fall in love in one game and then hit your head against the wall after next one and think how could you be so naive. He is a crafty player, good baller for the level he is currently at. Problem with him is that his potential is too dependent on the coach he is with and the system. He is a very good option as a combo guard, guy who can do a lot of stuff for your team when in need, but will struggle if you limit him to just playing PG or SG because he lacks ball handling skills and creativity to play just as PG at the next level and his height, body, athleticism and spot up game are not good enough to excell as just a SG. Developed physically early and there were no improvements in that are in recent years, but he has managed to improve on ball handling and jumoshot so he is a follow for NCAA and Euro teams. Especially if he stays committed to his development.
