Henri Veesaar (PF | 211 cm | ‘04) ~ Real Madrid

10.0 pts, FG2-47.1%, FG3-42.9%, FT-71.4%, 4.0 reb, 2.3 ast, 0.0 st, 1.7 to, 2.0 blck

A decent tournament for Henri. As mentioned last time in the ANGT Ljubljana recap, Real has a lot of talent and it isn’t easy to find the best role for everyone. Henri was again showing his extra feel for the game and made a lot of correct decisions. He was making shots from deep, had a few good post up plays and made a few very good passes that we usually don’t see from players his size. He committed to Arizona just a few days after the tournament and I think he will be a great fit in Tommy Loyd’s international flavored system. Also going to NCAA might be a great decision for him to develop his body, add some muscle mass and grow as a person/player. It wouldn’t completely shock me if he gets some late first or early second round buzz in a future NBA draft.

Henri Veesaar (PF | 209 cm | ‘04) ~ Real Madrid

8.5 pts, FG2-56.3%, FG3-33.3%, FT-71.4%, 6.8 reb, 1.8 ast, 0.5 st, 2.8 to, 1.8 blck

Hot & cold tournament for Henri Veesaar since he played two good and two not so good matches. Real Madrid’s roster is loaded and there are a lot of players that can step up so a lot also depends on the individual matchups. Henri showed in some plays what he can bring to the table. Very fluid for a player that size and uses his long strides smartly in transition or on drives. He likes to attack face up from outside but also showed good post up game and that he can create advantages down low. It looks like he hasn’t grown into his body yet and that there is room for more muscle mass and he struggled with finishing through contact but in some finishes he showed soft touch. Also an underrated athlete that made a poster dunk against Bassano that was in my opinion the play of the tournament. He made a cut from top and elevated off two feet from the middle of the paint and went flying over the defenders. Had a few alley oop dunks out of pick & rolls too when. Also knocked down a few three point shots out of pick & pop sets and proved that he is making progress in that part of his game. An inside and outside big with high potential when he becomes stronger and grows into his body.

Henri Veesaar (PF/C | 208 cm | ‘04) ~ Estonia

16.2 pts, 2FG-53.5%, 3FG-27.8%, FT-71.4%, 11.6 rebs, 2.6 ast, 1.0 stl, 2.2 to, 3.8 blks

One of the standouts of the tournament. His body is still in development and can add a lot of muscle to his frame. A lanky body so far but uses his length very well in contesting shots on making some putback dunks. He had quite a lot of them and showed his great timing and feel. His usage rate was high and he was creating from the perimeter and even more from the low post and was showing some soft touch from all spots. He struggled with his catch & shoot shots, had a few really bad misses, but his release looks solid and I think his shooting should be fine over next years. Was active defensively too and was amongst the best rim protectors in the competition.
