STRENGHTS WEAKNESSESS
  • good acceleration and quickness. Makes effort to play at different speeds
  • comfortable ball handler with crisp footwork. Has some crafty quick-strike moves. Good step back
  • capable isolation player. Able to play with the short clock
  • protects the ball well under the pressure. Keeps looking forward while covering it with his body. Stays low and explodes past defender
  • gets his feet set quickly and has even quicker trigger. Believes in his shooting skills. Tries transition threes. Not bothered by a hand on front of his eyes
  • solid pick and roll executor. Finds others with good timing. Can make a pocket pass
  • puts in work defensively. Just good not great defender but toughness is there and can guard aggressively far away from the basket. Makes effort to go over the screens
  • average size for a guard considering he is more effective and experienced as a SG
  • easy to stop in the paint. Improved frame but still often affected by contact
  • although very good technique shooting consistency is below expectations. Bad percentage from behind 3pt line happens regularly

OUTLOOK
Sargiunas is a Kaunas native. He is a kind of player that you can always count on as far as effort and activity on the court are concerned. Improvements in scoring on off the dribble jumpers and ability to play under control are necessary to step up his game. However he should be able to translate his skills to the next level and become good combo guard in Europe.
