STRENGHTS WEAKNESSESS
  • very good height at 6’11
  • strong bodied. Overpowers every peers. Puts his weight down low. Provides unstoppable inside presence at U18 stage
  • hard to box out. Provides ton of rebounds especially on the offensive end
  • has long arms and solid footwork. Can develop go-to moves in post up situations
  • plays really hard
  • nice mobility and even ok quickness
  • needs to control his aggressiveness especially on defensive end
  • lacks skills to play outside the paint. Pretty much unuseful three meters away from the basket
  • has occasional problems with double teams
  • still can improve his game as pick and roll man

OUTLOOK
Russel Tchewa is very physical center with oldschool game. He uses simple methods and makes his toughness look like a skill. He had numerous good showing on loan with Stellazzurra which put his name on European stage. Cameroonian player find a niche for himself as a tough physical matchup and reliable inside contributor on the best Italian pro level.
